everything to win this fight
One place to keep everyone up-to-date on diagnosis, treatment, financial needs, volunteer opportunities, and scheduling visits.
A message from the "emo on chemo" himself
One of the big reasons I’m being as open and vulnerable about my experience, is because there are so many others that go through this, and do it alone or cut off. It’s easy to feel isolated and alone in the face of this extremely scary, life altering experience.
Leukemia isn’t a a few weeks, and you’re all better. It’s a knock down, drag out fight for weeks to initially start the fight, to create a foundation to build from.
The first major successful milestone is at the 2 year mark. Chances of maintaining remission and surviving to 2 years is roughly 50%. A coin toss. It takes incredible strength off will and power to face that, and make the extreme changes in your life that need to be made to fight it. To not give in or give up.
After that, the next major point is the 5 year mark. It’s a higher chance to hit this after the two year mark, but it still isn’t 100%.
After 5 years, the next, and final, marker point is 10 years. The majority of those that hit the 5 year, make it to the 10 and beyond.
This is the birth point of what I hope will be my legacy, no matter how long I have, but ideally I’ll be the picture of absolute success. I want to create a network that will exist to help those that need the help, and let everyone know they are not alone.
Please support and join me in my dream.
